When I decided to open 4 restaurants in one year, I thought I knew exactly what I needed to do to replicate the success I had working as a chef in 5-star hotels. What a book! I’ve literally not been able to put this one down this afternoon… I love a good self-help book and I’ve not read one in a while. I got this weeks ago in a charity shop so I didn’t know if it was going to be any good but I really liked it. Some parts were quite spiritual mentioning crystals, tarots and the lunar cycle but that was only in the last two chapters so don’t let that distract you if your not into that it’s still a great self help book. Es tut mir leid, aber dieses Buch hat mich nicht überzeugen können. Ich bin weder mit dem Schreibstil der Autorin warm geworden, noch hat sie mich von ihrer Sicht der Dinge überzeugen können. This book is more than a self-help book. It is a self-empowerment book! The way the author writes is very clear and makes sure to explain / give definitions of what she is describing and talking about. She includes different scenarios / ways to help the reader understand the message and be able to manifest, and especially her many activities are really helpful! Her own personal stories give you a sense of understanding and you're able to connect with her and her message on manifestation.Secret #13: The ONE thing we all do that prevents our team from respecting enough to make permanent change. I thought this was brilliant. Perfectly structured and immensely resonant, relevant and real. I've read a fair few books on manifestation, law of attraction and similar, and found many range from wishy washy to plain weird and scary. The style of writing of this one appeals and it really does get you thinking. I found lots to relate to. The little exercises were helpful to a degree and I deffo learned new things from them. The author does use a lot of gen z phrases , which was weird sometimes lol but as a gen z ig it was familiar. But no time to be with your family and just want your cell phone to stop ringing on your “days off”. Auf das Buch "Make it Happen" von Jordanna Levin hatte ich mich schon sehr gefreut, ganz besonders weil ich hoffte für den kommenden neuen Jahresstart einfach ein paar Anregungen zu finden, wie man einfach positivere Kraft aus sich selbst ziehen kann und somit für sich persönlich gefühlsmäßig positiver durch den Alltag geht. Letztlich ist dieses Buch viel spiritueller Aufgebaut als ich dachte und ehrlich gesagt kam es für mich rüber wie eine wilde Mischung aus sämtlichen spirituellen Dingen, die für mich leider kein Ganzes ergeben haben. Sicher bietet das Buch für den ein oder anderen interessante Ansätze, mir jedoch ist es einfach zu weit hergeholt und manche Dinge sind sehr widersprüchlich und einfach nichts, was man nicht schon weiß ... She shows more humility, and the advice is more sound. I do think she writes at her best, when she is looking into the bones of her company, and finding what values make her brand unique. Und dass es nicht immer so gut ist, den Patient:innen zu sagen, dass sie alleine verantwortlich sind und sich eben nur mal "was Gutes tun" sollen, weil man dann dazu neigt, gesamtgesellschaftliche Strukturen, die eben auch zu Erkrankungen führen, zu ignorieren. Beim Lesen dieses Buches musste ich immer mal wieder daran denken.
