This product can be used with the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door, the DualScan Microchip Cat Door or the Microchip Cat Door Connect. When mounting in glass, this accessory allows mounting in circular holes with a diameter of 8½" (min) to 10¼" (max). The total diameter of the mounting adaptor is 11⅛". Using the mounting adaptor for wall installations enables you to install the DualScan Microchip Cat Door more easily because you can use it to fix the cat door to the wall without the need for messy adhesives. The mounting adaptor is not required to install the Microchip Cat Door or the Microchip Cat Door Connect in a wall as these products contain wall mounting screw holes within the front frame. The Cat Door Mounting Adaptor includes two parts, one for the exterior and one for the interior of your home.

Sensors: These are infrared motion sensors and they are located in front and top sides of the bowl. These sensors will detect any movement within their range. The Motion-Activated Pet Bowl is a great alternative to unchipped and uncollared pets. While it won’t stop different pets from accessing the bowl, it does keep food closed and sealed off when pets are not feeding. The only downside to a motion-activated feeder is that it’s not target-specific, so it will open whenever it detects any nearby movement regardless if it’s specifically for the cat on a prescribed diet and the dog gets into it. This is why it’s best suited to single-pet homes. The feeder stays closed at all times. When your pet approaches the feeder, the infrared sensor located in front or sides of the bowl detects the presence of your pet and automatically the folding hinged lid folds opens, leaving the bowl uncovered.
