About this deal
As a celebration of 70 years of being faithful to Nature, we have removed the single-use clip-lids from all of our range of Big pots of yogurts. Since eliminating these single-use clip-lids can be an adjustment, and as big pots are not necessarily consumed in one go, Rachel’s Organic has gone one step further in offering a free reusable and recyclable over cap, which can be used time and time again and is also dishwasher safe.
Packaging and Recycling - Yeo Valley Organic
By removing ‘single use plastic’ such as the clip lid, we will remove a 145 tonnes of plastic a year – that’s the equivalent of 188 Friesian cows, 24 African elephants or 17 tractors. Trying to work out what can go in the recycling bin, what needs to go to landfill (gulp), and what in the world to do with compostable/biodegradable packaging is a rubbish dilemma we all face daily. These images will be reviewed and you may not receive your over cap if we cannot validate your purchase.Sainsbury’s will be removing more single-use plastic lids from its own-brand ranges, with dips set to be the next product that will see the change.

So a better seal and no throwing away plastic, just a quick wash and it’s ready for my next opening of a Big pot of yummy Yougart! We’ve also switched our cream packaging to bottles so that they’re 100% recyclable, and we’re not stopping there! Removing single-use plastic lids is just one of the ways the retailer is working towards its commitment to halve its use of own brand plastic packaging by 2025.Although they’re designed to fit most standard pots there will always be exceptions – I’m sorry to hear they didn’t suit and I’ll be in touch to help.
