But the tide of public opinion turning against you, especially in an age of social media, must be a truly terrifying thing, and it doesn’t take a huge leap of imagination to guess how it would feel to be on the wrong side of it. She has already proven her mettle by standing up to and staring down the Germans in a magnificent opening scene, which I will not reveal here. the other thing I was trying to say before distracting myself was that this book is not for me, but it could be, quite possibly, for you.The most precious thing she has to remember him by is a painting that he created in her likeness, titled The Girl You Left Behind.
