On top of it all, Sadie is working a very complex case as a barrister which only adds to the stress of her situation.The story is very focused on Y/N but her relationship with Mattheo is additionally very important to the plot and storyline. This story encircles a large group of friends and acquaintances many who were present in the past, and thus the pool of red herrings is large and convoluted with the potential to keep readers on their toes. The controversy was omitted from a recent admiring biography of Bush, and from glowing coverage of his presidency when he died in 2018. But these opening lines do more than frame the poem in general terms: they also direct us as to how to read the sequence of images that follows, instructing us to pay attention to, and to analyse, the latent connections between things.
