We deny that AI should be designed or used in ways that violate the fundamental principle of human dignity for all people. Because we live in the 21st century, I had the perfect vehicle for daily devotionals: text messaging. One subject that also creates much inner angst is when people say that Christianity is misogynistic.

Rebecca McLaughlin's writing style is entertaining, easygoing, nuanced, thought-provoking, humble and very human!Grounded in Scripture rather than mere tradition or any cultural moment, this is the best book I’ve ever read on the topic of women and Christianity. The fascinating and inspiring book closes with a look at how the first eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection were women. Her chapter on the theme of forgiveness brings into focus Jesus’ infamous interactions with women of ill repute.

We see him as the one who gathers up our broken hearts and bodies in His arms, and as the only one who has the power to make us whole. Rebecca is the author of Confronting Christianity; 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion and 10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) about Christianity. This woman is the first person in John’s Gospel to whom Jesus explicitly reveals himself as the Christ, and she is the last person with whom a respectable rabbi should have been spending time alone. She is fair and clear in demonstrating through the Gospels how Jesus valued women through His interactions and His Spirit’s inclusion of their testimonies as key. The woman who dared not come to him directly, but touched his clothing secretly, is recognized by Jesus intimately.

But while Jesus defined all sex outside of marriage as sinful, he also welcomed even the most notorious sexual sinners who put their trust in him. She risked her reputation, her marriage prospects, her community, even her life when she replied to Gabriel, ‘Behold, I am the servant of the Lord: let it be to me according to your word. We deny that death and disease—effects of the Fall—can ultimately be eradicated apart from Jesus Christ.Jesus broke through both Jewish and Gentile forms of oppression against women and offered a fresh view of the female gender which has provided the undergirding for true women’s freedom and rights up through the present day. Founder Kelly Wahlquist and ten other members of WINE uniquely blend scripture reflections, imaginative encounters, and visio divina "sacred seeing" with practical spirituality and discussion questions that will help you take a prayerful and creative journey through Advent and the Christmas season. McLaughlin focuses on these eyewitnesses and shows why Jesus’s message was (and still should be) so appealing to women. The author uses a few select stories about Jesus and then inputs psychology and insights from other non-Biblical sources to try to make what the Bible says more favorable to women than men. This weeping woman, Mary Magdalene, is the disciple to whom the resurrected Jesus first reveals himself.

Perhaps one weakness should be noted and that is that McLaughlin adds one point that shows she confuses Israel and the church. This started a sexual revolution more daring than the revolution of the 1960s, but in the opposite direction. Readers are led into scriptural mysteries to develop the vital art of 'gazing' through the feminine heart. The beauty in this book is revealed in the unveiling of God, who is deeply personable and desires to share his very life with each of us.
