About this deal

If I didn’t want to believe the hype at first, I had no choice but to admit that TinHifi completely overturns the tide in their favor. The T4 sounds and feels like a major in-ear: a clean shape with sturdy construction and the right amount of sophistication, combined with one the best dynamic driver you can find in this price range. Another aspect that really impressed me was just how stable the entire system is. Most of the parts (apart from the handle) are made from machined aluminum and the clamp holds both your phone, the camera, and the laser sight very securely in place. Tin T2Pro + HIDIZS AP80 - This pairing also works quite well, as AP80 is a mini DAP, with a lot of power behind. I tried to match the price of the DAP with the price of the IEM a bit, as they wouldn't scale much with more expensive and better sources. AP80 does a lot for its money, has navigation buttons, the sound is still fairly wide and holographic, but it is slightly warm, meaning that they gain a bit of oomph in the bass. AP80 is also slightly smooth in the treble, so it cuts some of their bite away, making them a bit more versatile, at the cost of some treble sparkle. Provided you have the storage on your phone, I found recording photos and videos literally as simple as the press of a button in the app. It’s a bit sad as apart from those annoying quirks, everything else is enjoyable. The dynamics are better, the sound stage cleaner – with a better depth effect – and there are a lot more micro-details than you’d expect from an IEM this cheap.

Worth noting here is the phone also comes with a Night Vision camera and IR illuminator which enables you to see in complete darkness. This means you have both thermal and NV options all in one device, as well as a top-end and very rugged smartphone with all that it can do!Your smartphone experience won’t be truly complete without a perfect design that’s not just about looks but also comfortable handling. I also really like how you can easily remove and then replace your phone from the mount without having to dismantle the rest of the parts.

I think the best way for me to sum up the InfiRay Xinfrared T2 Pro Thermal Eye is to say that much like an SLR camera versus the camera on your phone, this device obviously can’t compare to a high-end thermal imager, but the build quality, ease of set-up and use as well as the performance is far better than what I had expected. You can zoom in – using your phone’s screen – from the standard 2x up to 15x. I have never found the zoom feature – on my pulsar or with this camera – particularly useful for mammalwatching in the forest at least, though given the range and quality of this camera it might be a different story when you are watching distant animals in savannah. At the other extreme the T2 allows me to focus in much more closely than my current scope, which doesn’t register anything nearer than about 2.5m/8ft. The T2 clearly shows my hand just 30 cm/12″ in front of the camera. The battery, paired with an official standard charger and a data cable, supports up to 66W FlashCharge. The actual charging power can be dynamically adjusted depending on the scenario. Please take actual usage as standard. Charging data is sourced from vivo laboratory. Test environment: ambient and phone temperature of 25℃±1℃. Test conditions: 1% of battery level, all phone services and features turned off except for voice calls, screen off, and an official standard charger and data cable used. Actual data may vary depending on test environments, charging situation, original phone temperature, long-term battery wear, and other factors.

The treble is bright, and sparkly, they are quite open and airy, the treble having a lot of presence and a lot of impact. It may be a little sibilant at times, and it is clearly not a smooth treble in any way, but this means that it gives acoustic music and acoustic instruments the right kind of bite and sparkle, making everything quite vivid and realistic. The adapter to which you fix the thermal camera, laser sight, and the phone is an all-metal construction and is really well-made. Thus once you have set it up, the whole unit feels really sturdy and solid. When I think of neutral sound signatures, the T2 Pro is that. I thought the T2 was a very good IEM, however the T2 Pro takes the base sound of the T2, and elevates the treble and makes this IEM a very detailed and articulate earphone that I really enjoyed.

My current phone is the AGM G2 Guardian, which I would say is the current leader in the field of thermal smartphones. Depending on the circumstances, thermal imaging is now often my preferred form of night vision as it makes finding many animals much easier than with standard optical-only night vision. However, one of the main barriers for many to using most night vision devices, and in particular thermal imaging devices is the cost of entry. Based on the comparison of the weight of phones with 3D Curved Display in the price segment of under INR 25,000 in 2023. However, once I got my head around how the camera, my phone, and the mount with the included handle all fitted together, actually getting it to work was really very simple: But, of course, the secret sauce is in the details. Let’s elaborate on what makes the vivo T2 Pro 5G an irresistible phone for tech-savvy users who rely heavily on their phones! A Performance PowerhouseThe T2 Pro IEMs, themselves, have the same exact styling and build material as the original. The Gunmetal gray color scheme is indistinguishable. The only thing I noticed different externally was that my T2 Pro came without a screen. This actually helped me figure out which one was which, but just note that this was an actual defect. The final released product does have the same screen as on the original T2. Sonically, this should not impact sound at all. It is only there to prevent ear wax and debris from getting into the driver. Many higher end IEMs don’t even have protection in this area and provide a cleaning brush. Mids are pleasant. I can’t really say how neutral these earphones should have sounded, because of the strange frequency response that came out by enhancing the treble, but I believe that the original idea was having a neutral, slightly V-shaped sound. Mids are, in fact, just a little recessed, but when it comes to hear them it’s a good listening experience. They are the best frequencies that come out of the T2 Pro. Bass is not bad, it’s just undertone. There’s one thing that most audiophiles hate, using the EQ. This is, for me, the case to use it. Try to turn up the bass and down the treble. The electric “work” on the signal helps with the attenuation of the sibilance, too. It won’t be the most hi-fi experience ever – you will never have it with these IEMs – but they become hearable. I think you can use an attenuator like the iFi ones, that’s a more elegant way to improve the sound experience of the T2 Pro. These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible. The size of the IEM body is actually pretty large, and the bore size is also on the larger side, making them recommended only for people with average to larger ears, not working quite that well for people who have smaller ears.

Tin T2Pro + FiiO M3K - As I said, this one combo hits the sweet spot in many ways, including price. The sound is engaging, vivid, detailed, textury, and they keep their bright and open signature with a wide and holographic soundstage. M3K also has a nice navigation system, is small, affordable, and has good battery life. The T2 Pro gets a better cable and a slightly different tuning, more in tune with… professionals in search of a cost-saving IEM. We didn’t receive them yet, but thankfully, we received the T2 Plus, even better! T3 The build quality of T2 is quite good, it is made of metal, and it is very vented, with two vents, making sure that you can't get a driver flex, no matter how hard you try. The bore size is on the larger side though, and you'll need to make sure you have a medium to large sized ear, and ear canal, otherwise it may be a tad too large for you.The promise of cheaper thermal vision is all well and good, but just how easy is it to set up, use, and then most importantly, how well does it actually work?
