About this deal

Be open to other people’s views, but protect your viewpoints – would be the most accurate description, briefly presented. Tell the story, don’t be the story Shortform note: Modern science supports the authors’ claim that the language we use reflects and shapes our fundamental beliefs about the world. For example, linguistic researchers have discovered that people who speak different languages have different beliefs about blame and punishment in the case of accidents. In this way, the specific words people use impact their beliefs about the situation—just as the Ruizes describe.)

They only run around carelessly with a pure, innocent and simple intention to quench their thirst for entertainment. We seek to fulfill our needs and instincts, simply because it makes us happy.Since we mustuse symbols to represent knowledge, and all symbols require that at least two humans agree, everything we know and believe in can only be relative truth. Not that universal truths don’t exist – a tree always exists, regardless of what you call it – but there is very little that isn’t up for grabs. We’re just so used to the symbols we know, our language, what we learn in school, the values our parents teach us, that we don’t think of them as debatable. But they are. Lesson 3: Being impeccable in your use of words allows you to use symbology to your benefit.

then Don Miguel Ruiz released "The four agreements" and it rose to great popularity in its profound power to help people transform their lives. It has served many people to such a transformations. It is a MUST READ in it's own right. When we're young, our likes and dislikes are so easy to navigate. In this guide, we’ll begin by exploring the idea that each person’s reality is separate, relative, and unreal; we don’t see the “real” world, and we don’t see the same world. Then, we’ll learn how to escape that false reality through the five “agreements,” or five steps on the path to enlightenment. Part 1.1: Doubt Your Perception The fourth agreement comes naturally afterward – strive for perfection by performing at your very best. In this book summary, we reveal all the critical elements for avoiding capture! Who Should Read “The Fifth Agreement”? And Why?

The naguals say that the best stage of your life begins as soon as you completely stop judging. When you can allow yourself and others to simply exist, you lose the need to find yourself, to try to be someone else, or to “fix” yourself. Your personal story no longer describes a struggle against yourself, others, or the world—instead, it becomes a record of your existence, of the message you carry from the universe, to the universe. In short, because you’re no longer actively making yourself unhappy, you regain the childish freedom of being what you are without burden, expectation, or demand. Ultimately, these assumptions can’t possibly reflect the truth of who you are because nobody has a clue what’s going on inside your head. This review is about both books: "The four agreements" and "The fifth agreement", since I considered them as a sequel about five agreements one must follow as a spiritual guide. Usually, I am not a fan of this type of books that promise some high spiritual-improvement. But I gave myself the chance to be informed about "Don Miguel Ruiz" philosophy, and to be honest it wasn't easy to put down each of the books and stop reading. Here are the five agreements "Don Miguel" recommend practicing:
