About this deal

Having started from humble origins, Joe’s father is now a billionaire, and Joe has everything he wants, except true friends. I must admit the author quite surprised me - never really was much into children's stories for I find them dull and childish (maybe not the biggest issue given the target audience) however, I did enjoy Andersen’s fairy tales for they were beautifully crafted and quite intelligent in their educative message; on the other hand, I was afraid I am going to witness another 'The Elephant and the Balloon' attempt as known from Bernard and Manny! Soon enough, Joe found out that his dad had paid Lauren to be his friend, he then blames his dad and his wealth for ruining his life, and decides to run away. But your child will find some statements and phrases rather odd and unexpected, and therefore funny.

Following the Christmas 2012 success and BAFTA nomination of the BBC adaptation of his second book, MR STINK, starring Hugh Bonneville, GANGSTA GRANNY was aired in 2013 over Christmas. Personally, I plan for my son to read 50% contemporary books such as this, and 50 classic novels such as ‘The Enchanted Wood’ etc.

Mrs Trafe: The disgusting dinner lady who enjoys the company of Joe, Bob and Lauren, but not anyone else, and deliberately cooks disgusting food, like deep-fried Blu-Tack. The story follows Joe Spud, who is the richest boy in the country and has everything he could ever want, but wishes to have a friend and eventually learns a lesson on being a normal boy. David and Tony have worked on six bestselling picture books together, and nine of David s phenomenally successful children s novels.

but the difference when compared to the tons of similar stories out there is in its presentation - incredibly witty, funny deliverance when you can really feel the author did enjoy writing this one very much as well as you can glimpse at his life optimism and comedian talent behind (the book’s) every line - and surely appreciate it [the talent]. And the way he plays with the language, some words he uses (made up) really makes you happy about every penny spent. But is it only me who doesn't feel the word SLUT is appropriate in a child's book, yes my child is 8 years and it does state nine years but even at that age or older I don't think it's appropriate language to use, luckily it was my turn to read. My favourite part is when Raj does the purple chart and his bum is right at the far end of the list. Well, let’s just say that things don’t quite go to plan, and it’s pretty hard to keep the fact you are the world’s riches boy a secret.million viewers, making it the 17th most watched programme on BBC One for the week ending January 3, 2016 and the 21st most watched across all UK TV channels. His books have now been translated into 40+ languages, and also include picture books illustrated by Tony Ross. We have read demon dentist which is quite a dark story if you have a young timid child who is easily scared I would wait, because it could put your child off of the trip to the dentist, now we are reading billionaire boy, and we are enjoying it. He was bullied at his last school because his father made his fortune by making loo rolls, he is very socially awkward. Sapphire (his Dad's horrid new girlfriend) blurts out that she had seen Lauren on television before.

a b c "BBC - Cast announced as production begins on BBC One adaptation of David Walliams' Billionaire Boy - Media Centre" . Where the cast includes the author himself, who portrays the character of Mrs Trafe in the production. This book is hilarous and quite touching, it’s hilarous me and my friends were literally rolling on the floor. I would like to read this book to my kids and they have said that they have read a lot of these books but they haven't read billion boy.Bob comes along to warn Joe that Lauren is a fake but Joe, suspecting that Bob was jealous of her, responds that he has no friends and felt sorry for him. David began his publishing career at HarperCollins in early 2008 with his debut novel, The Boy in the Dress, followed by Mr Stink in 2009, Billionaire Boy in 2010 and Gangsta Granny in 2011. Definitely a good read for children as well as an adult (I am over 30 years old) who enjoy (or are looking for) a good piece of British* literature, easy to read with a heart-warming experience of intelligent structure and philosophical message behind. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. I loved this book because i just enjoy reading it all the way though and from the start it just is amazing and i think if anyone is thinking of reading this book you should because i think that this book is really good and i would tell all my friends about it .

He goes to this super-posh school where everyone teases him becouse his dad got rich inventing "Bum-fresh" (LOL).

This might not sound like the most interesting topic for a kids’ book, but it is in the hands of David Walliams it is both touching and very, very funny. After the success of the first two adaptations ( Mr Stink and Gangsta Granny), Walliams announced that The Boy in the Dress and Billionaire Boy would be made into television specials. Joe is ridiculously spoilt and even has his own Formula One life-sized car and race track in his back garden, and even en-suite bathrooms that have en-suites that have en-suites! This particular book will not have you or your child roll in laughter as it’s more about exaggeration than anything else.
